Well, I’ve been blogging for a month, and I finally learned how to check my stats. The most popular search was an image search for “Fibro Monster,” the category I use to write about my fibromyalgia. I started to imagine the way a Fibro Monster might look. (Update 2017: At the time I didn’t know I should’ve called this the Lyme monster. Yes, I was one of the many with a false fibro diagnosis.)
Before I got carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, and other repetitive strain injuries, I used to enjoy playing around with Adobe Illustrator. Those days are over, but happily I’ve discovered iPad Sketchbook Pro: The touch screen makes it easy on the hands, you can add text using the voice software in the iPad, and you draw with your finger rather than a mouse or keyboard (which makes things a little sloppy, but it beats getting another hand operation).
Anyway, here’s a Fibro Monster (complete with symptom list!):
Ha, I love your drawings!

Just add swollen, painful kidneys and subtract the joints out of alignment and it’s the monster that’s been following me around for the last decade. 🙂 Great drawing!

Thanks! He follows me too! I tell him to leave, but he never gets the hint.
